After the operation, the face can be completely swollen for two to three weeks; however, the swelling begins to tone down after 48 hours.
Bruising can be present anywhere in the operative area and are gone after one or two weeks. Lost sense of touch can be present in front and behind the ears, under the eyes and on the forehead. Within weeks or months, the sense is regained. The pain during the pressure can be present for a few weeks around the ears. The feeling of tightness, pressure and can last for sometime around the ears and on the neck, and it reaches its summit in the third week. The stitches are removed within one or two weeks. A few days after the operation you are able to wash your hair. Make-up can be used a few days after the operation.
